Founders Letter #1

Hello friends,

Let the showdown begin! 2024 is off to quite the start...

Bill Ackman vs Business Insider

Elon Musk vs Mark Cuban

Cyberplex vs poor building design

Cyberhouse #3 (Austin, Tx)

For the last year, we've had our research & development hats pulled tightly down over our heads, but, as a team we try to make a point of rallying around the "big why" reminders of how important our mission is whenever we run across them. Our most recent reflection has been on the fact that 2023 was the worst year on record for US natural Disasters. Whatever myriad factors are contributing to it, the world indeed seems to be trending strongly away from stability.

When we said "poor" building design, we weren't talking cheap. Or sad looking. Rather, poor and lacking in resilience. As humans and co-founders, we prioritize personal optionality and independence wherever we can find it; maybe you do too. On principle, we think Good (not poor) building design should prioritize the same things, and not just possess the essence or veneer of them.

“Resilience is the ability to prepare and plan for, absorb, recover from and more successfully adapt to adverse events.”
- USGBC

As the year unfolds, Cyberplex is set to bring more of this good, resilient building design to the world. In the coming weeks and months, we look forward to sharing the good news with you!

Together in innovation,
